All Midwest Color Guard: Thanksgiving Day Parade 2007
Have your students join the All Midwest Color Guard for the Thanksgiving Day Parade in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade!
The "All MidWest Color Guard" is a 120 to 150 mass guard made of high school color guard from a five (5) state area (Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa). Membership in the unit will consist of color guards (flags and rifles). School groups will be selected on a first come first registered basis. Please download our information PDFs below.
This parade kicks off the holiday season and will be hosted on Thursday, November 22, 2007. The parade is televised on regional stations with feeds to national networks. Membership in the unit will consist of color guards (flags and rifles). School groups will be selected on a first come first registered basis. This is based on the recommendation of the high school music director and primary administrator from the school. Members of the Guard must be current high school students (grades 9 to 12) and have not graduated prior to the event date.
This event is limited and mandated to be of the highest standards for the student groups. Professional instruction and choreography will be provided to the groups during the rehearsals. Sectional instruction will be selected from the High School Directors and Guard Instructors seeking to be on the staff for this event.
The cost for the event participation will be based on the activities involved and borne by the membership (see itinerary). Please call 815.756.1263 with any questions or interest. The “All Midwest Color Guard” will be reviewed for other national events. Entire school color guards are welcomed if approved by the event director.
